Meet The Team

Musa Khan
Youth Director, Jiu Jitsu Instructor
Personal development is something Musa takes seriously, which is why he enjoys doing things that are challenging. Some of his hobbies include MMA, hiking, farming, reading, and teaching. He studied at Bayyinah Institute, where he learned Arabic grammar, morphology, and eloquence. He is currently pursuing his undergraduate degree with a focus on cybersecurity. He tries his best to continuously study and implement the deen in an attempt to better himself and his community. He is also the founder and lead instructor for the Champions Grappling Club.
Wahhaj Khan
Youth Advisor, Event Coordinator
Wahhaj enjoys sports, hiking, and spending time in the outdoors, along with indulging in desserts of all sorts. He grew up within the Masjid al Salam community and has 10+ years of experience in coordinating and organizing events/activities for Masjid al Salam, organizations such as ISNA, many universities and numerous other institutions. He is passionate about marketing and brand design, seeking to portray as honestly and creatively as possible. Employing his knowledge and skill set, he is dedicated to bringing the youth together.
Sana Hanif
Youth Advisor, Event Coordinator
Sana loves a good cup of iced coffee, nature and helping others. She has remained a part of the Masjid al Salam community for many years and has contributed immensely towards areas such as event planning and education. Using her background in logistics to her advantage, she is always working behind and on the scene to ensure things run smoothly. She has acquired numerous skills and rich experiences over the years, which she uses in her efforts to make Masjid al Salam an inclusive and nurturing environment for all.
Humza Baig
Marketing Lead, Instructor
Humza, an avid admirer of the color green and Batman, has remained an active part of Masjid al Salam’s community throughout the years. He has continually led the OYD Marketing Department and assists the Youth Director when possible. He prefers listening to talking, which is evident in the way he partakes in team discussions. Spontaneous pep talks and motivational reminders are his trademarks, and his passion for coding, engineering, and management serve him well in his journey of bringing the youth back to the masjid.
